Upon discovery, we patent the technology, validate the test, and license the test to a global partner for manufacturing, sales & marketing, distribution, and laboratory processing. Our tests can be developed on a number of different platforms; hence, we have no limitations in the partners we are able to attract. Furthermore, competition in the mtDNA research space is limited, leaving Genesis with significant opportunities to take advantage of the sensitivity of mtDNA molecular diagnostic tests and the low cost, highly automated processing advantages over other forms of nuclear DNA and RNA tests.

Furthermore, our discovery technology and library of proprietary mitochondrial associated molecules has the potential to extend beyond the clinical diagnostic market and into the development and commercialization of:
  • Broad applications in diagnostic imaging through proprietary mitochondrial “signal molecules”
  • Therapeutic targets based on molecules which disrupt metabolic and gene signaling pathways
  • Drug discoveries by highlighting currently unknown pathways through the use of our novel, mtDNA based molecules, as well as pathways which avoid drug induced mitochondrial toxicity
  • Patient stratifications based on genetic predisposition or tumor aggression or expected therapy response, with expanded opportunities to regularly monitor those patients and their outcomes
