Sample Collection
| Genesis Genomics Inc. is conducting cancer research aimed at discovering biomarkers that could potentially extend and greatly improve the quality of life for cancer patients. The lifeline of our research requires samples (normal and diseased) from tissue procurement centres, as well as from participants recruited through our Physician Network. The samples required should be accompanied by the relevant pathology report, basic health information and follow-up information if available. Presently, the research is focused on prostate cancer as well as skin cancer however, plans are in place to study breast, cervical and colorectal cancers as well. |
| Patient Information If the answer is yes to any of the following questions you may be eligible to participate in one or more of the studies: Is your physician associated with the Genesis Genomics Physician Network? Your participation will be minimal: complete the required forms and health survey, and give permission to provide, or provide one or more biological samples during a routine examination. All shipping and handling expenses will be paid for by Genesis Genomics. In addition, to show appreciation for your time and effort, $25 compensation will be available to you upon fulfillment of your requirements. | Physician Information Genesis Genomics's research requires the recruitment of participants and the collection of samples for the discovery of cancer biomarkers. To facilitate sample acquisition, we have established a Physician Network and are actively pursuing the assistance of specialized physicians to meet our goals. If the answer is yes to any of the following questions you may want to consider participating in one or more of the studies: Do you specialize in any of the following areas: urology, dermatology, gynecology, proctology oncology or surgery? All expenses incurred will be paid for by Genesis GenomicsI. In addition, you will be remunerated for your services. | Tissue Procurement Centres Genesis Genomics is also interested in the services of tissue procurement centres as well as other research facilities. We are looking for normal and diseased samples of prostate, breast, skin, colon as well as other types of samples. Further details regarding the description of donors, health and medical information as well as sample types and preparation methods for each sample will be provided once we have initiated contact with a tissue provider. In addition, we will be happy to discuss any collaboration or remuneration issues once we have established an area of research interest. |
