Genesis Genomic's core technology is directed at locating biomarkers to enable early detection and characterization of cancer which will provide clinicians an opportunity for early screening, as well as better prognostic indicators. Using breakthrough technology, Genesis Genomic's Biomarker Discovery Platform not only identifies significant, disease associated markers, but also potential therapeutic targets. The platform focuses on the mitochondria due to its essential roles in energy production, apoptotic signaling and other cell-specific functions, all of which are highly associated with malignant processes. This platform approach has several advantages:
- Discovery of proprietary DNA, readily detectable biomarkers.
