Gregory Hines
Chairman
Mr. Hines is President, Chief Executive Officer and Director of ArcticDx Inc., amolecular diagnostic company with patents related to colorectal cancer. The
company is commercializing its IP as a screening test (Colo-Risk™)
internationally. The company is also establishing a Canadian distribution
relationship with companies seeking to market their molecular tests in the
country. Mr. Hines was President, CEO and Director of Tm Bioscience
Corporation (TSE, TMC) from March 31, 2000 to March 1, 2007. At Tm
Bioscience, Mr. Hines led the design, development and commercialization of a
molecular diagnostic platform complete with a menu of molecular tests in the
fields of Human Genetics, Pharmacogenetics and Infectious Disease. He sold
the company to Luminex Corporation (NASDAQ, LMNX). Prior to this, Mr. Hines
served as President of Leo Pharma Inc., a research-based pharmaceutical
company which Mr. Hines founded in Canada in 1981. In this capacity, he
brought 8 new medicines through clinical development, regulatory approval and
commercialization. He also served on the Board of Directors of Rx&D, the
association of Canada’s research-based pharmaceutical manufacturers from
1993 to 1999. Mr. Hines was the Chairman of the Rx&D Board in 1997/ 98. Mr.
Hines currently serves on the Board of Directors of The Biotechnology Initiative
(TBI, Toronto), the Canadian Gene Cure Foundation as well as Genesis
Genomics Inc.
Robert Thayer, PhD
Chairman Emeritus
Robert is past professor in Kinesiology, Adjunct Professor of Biology at LakeheadUniversity, and a faculty member in the applied biomolecular science program at
Lakehead University, Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. Collectively, Robert has
twenty-seven years of teaching experience in Kinesiology and Biochemistry. In
addition to his academic career, Robert has been heavily involved in Canadian
national amateur sport. As a former Olympic athlete and coach for the Canadian
Olympic Team in the 1976 Montreal Games and the 1980 Moscow Games,
Robert provides the Company with unique leadership skills. Robert received his
PhD in Kinesiology and Biochemistry in 1989 from the University of Western
Ontario, London, Ontario, Canada. Recently, his research has focused on Heat
Shock Protein expression in skeletal muscle from elderly subjects, mtDNA
mutation associated with aging, skin and prostate cancer. Robert is a past
recipient of a prostate research grant from the Prostate Research Foundation of
Canada and two major grants in skin cancer. Over the past five years Robert has
received over $1.9M in funding. He has fifty-two refereed publications, book
chapters, and abstracts credited to his name.
Robert J. Poulter

Mr. Poulter joined the company in 2007 in order to move the company from a ‘research and development’ position to commercialization of their products. A sophisticated individual with high level executive experience in finance, business strategies, mergers and acquisitions, Mr. Poulter’s experience includes various high level management positions within the Royal Bank of Canada (Canada’s largest bank), Accenture (global consulting), and most recently with IBM’s Business Consulting Division. Mr. Poulter’s business experience includes sales, marketing, commercial development, and management in various markets including Canada, United States, Europe and Southeast Asia.Ryan Parr, PhD
Chief Scientific Officer and VP Research & Development
Mr. Parr has utilized his academic research background in the area of mtDNA to develop Genesis Genomics’ successful commercial research platform and leading edge biomarker discovery capabilities. He began his research career at the University of Utah in the Department of Cellular, Viral, and Molecular Biology. He has participated in a variety of intricate projects such as: nuclear differentiation within eucaryotic cells, mechanisms of viral infections, recovery and sequencing of mtDNA extracted from the skeletal remains of ancient Egyptian populations and, identification of unclaimed victims from the 1912 Titanic disaster using mtDNA. Moreover, as a Senior Research Specialist at the University of Utah Health Sciences Center, Department of Hematology and Oncology, he worked on the problem of cancer resistance to drug therapy.Norman Kribs, LL.B.
Norm was called to the Ontario Bar in 1992. He practiced law as a seniorbusiness and securities law associate at the national law firm of Fasken
Martineau, and has acted as in-house general counsel to multiple information
technology and life science companies. At Fasken Martineau, Norm's clients
included Dofasco Inc., MDS Inc., MDS Capital Corp., Business Development
Bank of Canada, Arbor Memorial Services Inc., Drug Royalty Corporation Inc.
and Solect Technology Group Inc. Prior to joining 401 Capital Partners, Norm
was Associate General Counsel to TLC Laser Vision Corporation and assisted
with its cross-border merger with Laser Vision Corporation. Prior to TLC, Norm
was Assistant General Counsel to SHL Systemhouse Inc. and NAME Inc., a web
enablement corporation. In addition to his law degree from the University of
Toronto, Norm holds an HBA from the Ivey School of Business at the University
of Western Ontario.
Harvey Cardwell
Harvey was born and educated in rural Southern Ontario. He recently retired asthe President of Robin’s Foods Inc., a company he co-founded in 1975 that
developed approximately 247 fast food restaurants throughout Canada. Harvey,
a member of the Lakehead University Board of Governors, continues his
involvement in the Northco Group of Companies in a variety of activities including
real estate development and management, food service and lodging, and
franchise consulting. He has resided in Thunder Bay for the past 28 years with
his wife Darlene, and has two sons. His continues to work toward further growth and economic development in Northern Ontario, striving to enhance the quality of
life of all Northerners. Harvey is a member of GGI’s Corporate Governance
Committee, a standing committee of the Board of Directors.
Harry Smart
Currently a non-executive director and private investor in a number ofcompanies, Harry Smart has worked in both the public and private sectors and
has established a track record of successfully taking companies and
organizations through major strategic changes. Over the last fifteen years he has
been involved as an executive director and shareholder in two management-buy-
outs and two company start-ups and was instrumental in the successful growth
and sale of the enterprises at significant gains for shareholders. Harry is well
accustomed to operating at Chairman/MD level in the UK and internationally and
is an experienced public platform speaker. He has lectured at universities and
management institutions and has authored a number of papers and articles.
Academic qualifications include first degrees in Chemical Technology and in
Applied Computing, and an MBA. Harry qualified by examination as a Chartered
Civil Engineer and other professional memberships have included the British
Computer Society, the Institute of Management, the Market Research Society,

Michael Fowle
Michael Fowle is a management consultant specializing in health, IT and thefinancing of young companies. He has an MBA from London Business School
and teaches the MBA “E-commerce and Competition” courses at the University
of Edinburgh and at Strathclyde University in Glasgow. Michael’s health
experience includes setting up the North London Cancer Network project, writing
the national IT strategy for the Scottish NHS and 5 years as IT director at
University College London Hospitals. He was project manager for the first PFI-
funded IT project and the largest ever big-bang hospital system. His first
company, started in 1984, still has a near-monopoly of European self-storage
systems and is the market leader in recruitment systems. His most recent
company won the DTI award for best E-business Start-up 2004. He has close
links with a wide range of businesses, academic spin-offs, business angels and
venture capitalists. Personally and professionally he continues to assist
companies with funding, consultancy or interim management. He is currently interim manager of GPASS, an NHS-owned software house writing the primary
care IT system used by 80% of family doctors.
